1960's Ludwig Acrolite or Pioneer with unusual finish

    OK, I have never seen one of these. A one off or prototype maybe? I'm assuming it is a wrap over the original aluminum shell or wood shell. Still, the grommet appears as though it was never tampered with. Also looks to be a six lug drum, so a re-wrapped Pioneer maybe? Has anyone ever seen another like it?

    I like it. The grommet looks like it has been removed (look close at the badge picture - inside of grommet looks bent). It is a Pioneer with nickel hardware, so likely mid 60s or older.

    I love the look of this drum! An entire kit in this finish would rule!
