I'd like to build a small practice kit so I can slap on my mesh heads and play with standard sized drums but somewhat compact. I'm coming up short in the bass drum area. I'm looking for a 20" shell, can be new or used preferably 20x10 or smaller.

I have the mesh head, hoops and hardware. Just need a shell. Give me a shout here if you have something close. Name a price and let's talk. Thanks in advance!

Precision Drum Company has a 20X8 Keller maple shell though it’s undrilled and with no bearing edges. It’s listed under the products and specials headings. $40

Thanks for pointing that out. I haven't been on their site in a while.

They also have an 18" shell for $40, but s/h is $60, so I passed.

I was recently watching an ebay auction and a generic 12x20 shell with wrap and edges was $65 total shipped from the U.K......should have jumped on it!

I actually have a 14x20" Fibes fiberglass bass drum. Make me an offer. It's just taking up space. It has lugs, hoops but no spurs and the turquoise wrap is a little bubbled but it's in good shape. It's a perfect for a project. Below is a picture of the raw shell and then a picture of a similar 22 I had. Make me an offer.

I could image that if a company had a 20in hoop that was only 10 inches deep ("cut-off") then it would be difficult to sell. I suggest contacing them (including Anderson Trading in Anaheim) and see what they have laying around.

Thanks everyone. I'm going a different route with this now.
