It's not cheap, but on the Slingerland Facebook page there's a super rare and super beautiful '70s Slingerland set in maroon sparkle.

Silver sparkle Jazz Fest for $200 in Austin. No pictures on the add but the seller sent me a few.

I was in Austin over the weekend. Wish this had popped up then, might've been able to convince my wife we needed it.

Thats beautiful. Should be a 69/70 with that low badge placement. I had a green sparkle version with the same low rider badge and some people thought it must be a cut down drum because of it, but Ive seen a few pop up over the years.

I learned to play on one of these kits. They are nice for the money, surely better than most kits at that price point. The hardware isn't great, but the shells are warm and punchy. I believe they date back to the late 70s.

For those near Chapel Hill, NC: Estate sale Sept 15.

67-68 Slingy Jet kit with double toms (GAH!!!!), Slingy marching snare, Luddy snare (Super 400?), and what looks to be some A Zildjian pies. Probably some other peripheries they didn't think were worth listing. Go git 'em! I'll be rooting for you from the other side of this land mass.
