Krupa brand solid shell MIJ snare drum

    Figured I'd give this a post of its own. There was a discussion about the Krupa brand in a previous thread.
    Not only is this drum a "Krupa," it looks to be a solid or one ply shell. I've never seen this on a made in Japan stencil type drum. krupa2.jpg

    The re ring looks like solid beech, the shell looks 2 ply maple
    Nicest mij stencil shell I've ever seen, great find

    It's not mine... a friend got it on reverb. I think it's one long piece of wood wrapped around so the overlap looks like 2 plies... just a guess.
