I'm finishing a three book historical fiction series on Attila the Hun.

Next up is a series about Genghis Khan.

Just finished "the art forger" by BA Shapiro.
before that I read "flawless" which is non fiction about the big Belgium diamond heist in think in the early 2000s.

I strongly recommend "It's your ship" which is sort of a management book written by a Navy Captain on what he did to grow his crew w/the rules of the Navy.

    I can't wait to see Nacci's book list....:D

    Seriously...I have five going now.
1st - The Bible by various authors - This year I'm reading the Catholic version
2nd - The Last Lion by William Manchester - First of a three part series on the life of Winston Churchill
3rd - The Great Hunt by Robert Jordan - 2nd book of a large series in the fantasy genre.
4th - The Pilgrim Church by E.H. Broadbent - A detailed history of Christianity..... especially the persecutions of our Christian Fathers by the Catholic Church.
5th - The Complete Anti-Nicene, Nicene and Post Nicene writings of our Christian Church Fathers - This is a huge, 32 volume set and will probably take me a lifetime.

As you can see...I'm all over the place from Fantasy to Modern History as well as writings by the Catholic Fathers on one hand and OTOH the writings of the intense barbaric history that the Catholic Church inflicted on Christians.

Yep, I got the "all over the place" thing happening as well! I tend to do 2 at a time and currently I am reading the autobiography of John Oats (of Hall & Oats) "A Change of Seasons" and the "Holman Quick Source Guide to Christian Apologetics" by Doug Powell.

Told ya I was on extreme ends of the spectrum!

I'm shocked John Oates didn't name his autobiography "The One With The Mustache."

I've read and re-read both of those. 1493 especially was revelatory. There's so much history we never heard.

LOL! Yeah, I thought maybe another good title could be... "John Oats, the Luckiest Man in Music"!

Why kids aren’t taught this in school is really unbelievable. They should mandate this a reading to every elected official as well. It really gives you perspective. What I really like is that I can detect no bias that I sometimes find in other historical literature.
