Hey all, need your advice! Just acquired a Ludwig Black Panther kit. Had a slight mishap when attempting to fix a lifted badge with contact cement. A six inch streak of it managed to smear on the wrap when we got called away (not sure how it happened, but it happened), and I'm wondering if anyone has had luck removing this stuff? I know people have recommended Xylene for removing glue from shells and wrap, but not sure if this is a good idea because of the more fragile nature of the panther wrap. Thoughts?

I'm not familiar with Black Panther wrap, but have you tried rubbing it off with your thumb/fingers?

If you are considering the chemical approach, go with the least aggressive one first, like WD40 or goof off or just plain alcohol...often that is enough and the job is done. If you progress to more potent stuff, like Laquer Thinner, Acetone, Xylene, and Toluene, test them out in a inconspicuous place first.
