    Such a great drummer. Simon's set-up is starting to get into Bozzioland.

    Interesting that with that size kit he doesn't use a rack. Great solo. Interesting work.

    THAT was an interesting solo on so many levels. Musicality, Dynamics, Theme, Technique, Showmanship, and MORE.


    I could watch him all day.

    Although I still find his tom angles annoying. I could not play on that setup. I'd be catching my sticks on tom rims all day.
    But I'd love to try!

    and now I want 3 snares in my setup as well. Thanks Simon.

    I have seen him a few times - he is a true master, and very approachable. (And yes, that is Pino Palladino on bass).

    I agree... love me some Simon, I find his work very inspiring and could listen to his playing all day.

    More praise for Simon Phillips. Like others here, I find him such a musical player and I always enjoy his playing. This is one of Simon's more interesting and adventurous performances. It's nice to see a musician confident and skilled enough to take real chances.
