    Hi,

I think I have a Slingerland Super Sound King COB from the late 60s or early 70s.

I really like its tone, but I have some troubles with the parallel or dual snare strainer.

I have other slingerland snares with the Zoomatic Strainer, which work a lot better.

So would it be better to just sell the 60s and try to get a 70s with the Zoomatic Strainer. Or does the 60s with parallel have other advantages? Thanks in advance.

I think it's just a preference issue. I have had many Ludwig Supraphonics, but the Super Sensitive model with parallel system doesn't interest me at all.
