With "eggs", you want the "sizzle", a nice 50's Small Stamp Zildjian A 14" set should do the trick...mid 800's g. on top and mid 1200 g. on bottom..

Agreed! I have a pair of SS in the mid 700g range that are very smooth and buttery. Picked up a roughly 1200g ss bottom for a bit more chick and projection when desired while retaining maximum butteriness.

They sound incredibly smooth, at least to me.
