Dear Ludwig,

I've been using the Classic Series hardware for the past year and a half, and have really enjoyed it! The updates / improvements that you guys have made since its introduction have been great; the new ergonomic keystone wingnuts, and especially, the Aerodyne tilter on the snare stand have been excellent! However, I have encountered a couple of small issues that could use some improvement...

1. Classic hi-hat stand tube joint: The tube joint casting is prone to breaking apart, and I've now broken two of them in the exact same place. As you can see from the photos, there isn't quite enough surface material (wall thickness) for this joint to remain intact due to the continuous usage / foot stomps that hi-hat stands are subjected to. Perhaps if the back portion of the tube joint were solid all the way through, rather than partially, maybe that would solve the problem?

2. Speed Flyer pedal chain connector: The chain connector casting is prone to breaking apart, and I've broken two in the exact same place as well. Same problem as above; wall thickness just isn't quite robust enough to withstand heavy usage night after night.
I did make improvements to the pedal using a custom built chain connector made of milled solid brass. Also, increased wall thickness on the connector by about 25% and used a (marine grade) solid rivet made of stainless steel to fasten the connector to the chain. Problem solved. Zero issues! And man, I love this pedal too! It has a smaller footprint overall compared to other competitors, and has all the adjustability features for a fraction of the price!

3. Website updates
Please update your website regularly to keep up-to-date products that reflect the newest revisions, especially on the hardware side. The Atlas Pro hardware you currently show on your website are the old versions from 2012. Also, please include all parts, part numbers and accessories. We drummers like to order these things without the confusion of third party communication. Its much easier when we can relay the correct part numbers to our dealers directly. Thankyou!!!

I hope you guys read this and will take my comments/suggestions into consideration. And please know, that I am not coming from a place of snarkiness, hate or gaslighting. I mean this with the best of intentions.

Thanks for your time!!

Best,

Paul

So you’ve had their kick pedal and hi hat stand both break twice in 18 months? Doesn’t seem like a great set of hardware to me…

Unfortunately, yes. It happens sometimes. I've had hardware break from Pearl, Yamaha and DW as well. No company is immune.
