I’ve got an old Ludwig tambourine that is like to mount off my Pearl drum rack. What are some good options?

I asked this some months ago; whatever you try, don’t waste money on an Aquarian cymbal spring.

Many, many, decades ago I simply put a hole on the center of a tambourine and used an addition hi-hat clutch to fit it above the hats on the same rod. It was of interest that many years later I saw just that idea as an accessory somewhere....

Curios....

Doesn't the stress of hitting the tambourine mounted on the hi hat rod bend the rod eventually? (Unless you are only using it as a "ching ring").

I never liked the feel of a tambourine on the rod, never found a position that was easy to get to and didn't impede access to the hats...

I use a Tama mount that has the tom mount rod on it and an LP tambourine designed to mount on a rod....

It was generally heard as I played the hats with foot on 2 and 4 rather than be hit with sticks. Bit like a tambourine player might accent the 2 and 4.
