I rarely ride much of anything anymore, but I still have a garage full of small motorcycles. I started off with a Briggs & Stratton-powered 3 horse minibike and have always had something with two wheels and a motor ever since. So, I guess I've been riding since the 5th grade?

Cool! 5th grade is when I got started as well.

I forgot to mention that my username Targa LX is the name of a moped that I have in my collection...a glorious 49cc, 2-stroke Slovenian screamer!

That is a beauty.

Here's my '67 Honda SS50 that I brought home from Vietnam. The Viets are obsessed with them, and after a couple of trips there, I decided I was too.

Love those Hondas. I have had a few small Hondas from that era, though never an SS50.

I stopped riding when I noticed that every car I passed on the highway was being driven by a jerk that was just staring at his phone. No more motorcycles for me until it is no longer possible to interact with a phone while moving in a car.

This, too, is why I rarely ride much these days. I see we are both in the same area, so that might have something to do with it!

...and here I've been calling you Tar-Galx for years!

Joke's on me, I guess. :laughing6:

Cool little bike.
I'm obsessed with the Honda Cub...or Passport as one version was called around the time I got out of school.
I don't know why, I just am.
Just discovered a Yamaha copy caled a Townmate, too. Must've been a non-US thing. New to me.

Super sweet. I started on a Honda CT90 and then a CL125. I sold my 03 Shadow 750 three years ago and within 2 weeks my neighbor totaled it. I miss the early days when riding was fun before all the cell phone use.

Still have a couple Super Cubs in the collection, one newer, one older. Had the CT90 ("Trail 90") variant of the Super Cub, and the CT70 ("Trail 70") small frame/wheel version, too.

I think a trail 70 was the first motorcycle I ever rode on. Owned by a friend. He had trails to ride it on, so I'd just go over to his house.
Fun little machines. =)

They are incredibly fun. The reason I sold mine was to buy another bike. Also, I wasn't using it much because there aren't a lot of trails in my area. I didn't like driving it on the road, you're not very visible and the small wheels don't provide good road handling characteristics. But it was a great bike and I hope whoever owns it now is enjoying the hell out of it!

My neighbor has been trying to sell a trail 90. He’s got it running, and I can’t say that I’m not lusting after it! It would be awesome as a motorhome bike when we go camping.

Motorhome? Heck, I used to throw mine in the back of my VW Golf, front forks hanging out past the rear hatchback! Ha!

Been shopping for a bike. Have a Vespa GT200, feeling "bikeish" again lately. Couple close calls. R1100RT, '11 Sportster, Triumph America. Came across a nice Drifter last nite. Stopped by the local shop to discuss it with them. They'd just rolled out this Triumph Thunderbird Sport. 10,000 miles on it. Freshly rebuilt carbs and service. Rear shock rebuilt by Racetec. Had to have it. Test rode one at Laguna Seca years ago. Liked it a lot. After a 50 mile loop of favorite roads, I think we're gonna be just fine! Great suspension. That triple just pulls smoothly. Comfortable riding position, even for a banged up old fart like me. First job was floor sweeper/parts washer at my uncle's shop, Bellflower Triumph. It's like going home. Having a Guinness now in it's honor......

Likey.

I've been looking sideways at the Triumph Bobber lately.

I have 5 street bikes that I am not riding much now. I need some new biker buddies. So many cool new bikes out there. I try not to look anymore.
