I just wanted to say that Steve (dimag333) over at Russo Music provided me with a great deal, but most imporatantly, excellent service when I ordered some Evans drum heads not too long ago.

I messaged him about some heads I wanted, and he responded back to me very quickly with a great price and an estimate of when they would come in.
He even said he would throw in some free extra heads for me to try out.

The heads I ordered and the ones he threw in arrived in due time and were impressively well packed.

There was a bit of a mishap though.
I wanted a Power Center Reverse Dot snare head, but was sent one of the EC type dot heads instead.
I offered to keep the wrong one and just go ahead and buy the right one again, even asked if he wanted me to buy some sticks so his shipping charges weren't wasted,
but Steve insisted he send me the right head at no charge.

Thanks Steve (dimag333) :)

Another satisfied Russo customer here.
I've had 3 or 4 perfect transactions with Steve and will return for more soon.

I have not purchased from Steve yet. I've had a few conversations about a snare drum and that my wife might be calling him for Bday present suggestions...(keep fingers crossed...)

He really seems like a nice guy, genuine, real and likes to hook folks up with drum gear. I purchase gear at my in town music store but when they don't carry what I'm looking for I will go to Russo. For me that's DW and Ludwig snares. I will gladly buy gear from a guy like Steve at Russo..

This is how social media works for business, the guys that take care of their customers and participate in the conversation end up with great reputations and sell more...

Steve has gone WAY above and beyond for me on a couple of occasions when my orders were messed up a bit (through no fault of his). Stellar service and super fast responses to any queries. I don't know what happened in regards to the DFO (maybe he was just too good at what he did) but I'm glad I have his email address so I can still get in touch whenever I need something.

If I glow too much, I may get this thread locked or deleted.

BUT WHO CARES!!!!

Russo music and DW were no less than STELLAR when it came to the issues (that were not their fault) of my add-on floor tom, stepped up and got me my replacement in time before my gig last night!!! Who does that these days? Steve, Russo Music and DW.

Woo hoo!!!! I got your back, Steve!!!

If this gets me banned, so be it.

he offer pre order something for me
so i will be one off the first to have this
fast reply and cool guy too
thanks steve

I don't have a clue about what is going on with this thread and the banished Dimagg333 thread.
Wow, what an outpouring of support for a beloved member and merchant.

-Just on observation from someone that admittedly knows nothing about the situation: Isn't it interesting how an attempt to "muzzle" and "shut down" a good man often backfires and results in just the opposite outcome. His website, russomusic.com wasn't even on my radar for a drumset purchase. It is now.

This kind of reminds me of Chick Filet; except no detractors seem willing to step forward with accusations. My concern is that this man of character probably won't come back after being suspended (without cause?).

I love Russo music. I also love the fact that I'm about a 15 minute car ride from Russo Music, though there are times when my wife isn't too crazy about that.

I have not bought from Russo Music, and I don't know most of you who have posted in this thread. I have "No dog in the fight" either way, but it amazes me that this thread has gone on this long with no explanantion from the owners/administrators here.

Someone needs to explain if this person actually has been suspended, and if so, why, and when they will be back.

Allowing this to fester so long isn't good.

My 2c, Steve(Dimagg333) is a stand-up guy at a time when most of us have purchased from a nameless, faceless websites, Steve has made himself available at all hours and goes out of his way to make sure everything worked out from the smallest purchase to a new kit and in my book that's AWESOME!! Russo music will continue to be my first choice when purchasing anything music related!!

Wow! This is suspension thing may just be the best thing that could have happened for Steve. I really don't buy much drum stuff off the internet, but after the huge outpouring of support (coupled with what I can only assume is an embarrassed silence on the part of the onwer) I might just go over to Russo Music and see if there's something I want.

I have responded in the other thread, I am glad you all have had good dealings with Russo music, wouldn't want anything less.

There are things and other folks that I am waiting to get involved, that may take a little time. As I said in the other thread

To jump to conclusions, good or bad really doesn't do anybody any good thats all.

I am just trying to do whats best for DFO, thanks, Ben

It would be the stand up thing to do for the issue to be brought in the open..all of it - both sides - so the facts are known. It is the cloud of hidden agendas that is tainting the issue in my mind.
I agree. We can't follow the rules if we don't know what they are. Put it out there, make sure this NEVER happens again...or at least put out the fire.
