sorry to derail this thread...ray was a genius and his initial beginnings creating the company yielded great stuff, BUT:
wasn't hal's last endorsement with DW? to my knowledge the playing/gigging of them was never truly manifested as he got his blue jazz series kit only a few years prior to his passing...another genius RIP

That's very possible. I spoke to Hal in 2006 when he was with Taye, but maybe he moved to DW from there.
