So it was a fun casual date last night covering pop and classic rock hits from the 70-80's. Being a VERY reflective room (the whole restaurant is tile, glass, steel and hard surfaces) I took my "quite" kit and cymbals so nothing new there (INDe 20", 12" & 14" with various Sabian HH's plates including15" hats, 18", 20" and 22"). What IS different is that my oh so tamed George Way Elkhart Copper snare spent then night on the floor and taking center stage was my new Summit Solid Mahogany 6X14". A wonderfully dry yet warm tone that never got out of hand volume wise... so very pleased with this new drum!!!
