What Happened to Drummerworld.com?

Well DW had a big change in moderation in recent times-all past moderators great. Suddenly removal of my post or threads and threaten to ban me-the same happened to many during the ban fest which took out many. Then finally make my use of site near impossible this last year. I believe sabotage because I tried it creating a new name and it worked fine-but that was removed because against the rules-just keeps saying it's on my end which it isn't and no help to address. I left my mighty bot behind to raise havoc. Ha, ha, ha my sinister plan is working as the site implodes from over moderating and needs to learn to subtract rather than just ad.

Just to point out that Thomas is the old moderator that left in about 2012 after having first become a moderator around 2006, along with Nutha_Jason. If memory serves he goes back to the very old (long-deleted) PHPBB forum from 2004, hence the June 2005 join date, which is when the current forum was created. Around 2012 is when the 'other' team took over and then they left just before or after the sale of the site (except for Bermuda) and Thomas took back the reins.

He's never really been an advocate of healthy discussion.

Poor pumpkin. Met with even the slightest challenge this is what he does.

I've only changed my own oil for the past 10 yrs. No longer can you trust a shop to do such a simple task properly
(mixing oils with diff. grades/viscosity/add packs/ratings/specs.......over & under filling, not changing the filter or using a junk one,
stripping the drain plug, etc.). Figure a way to screw up, and they'll do it.

Even if the site were working perfectly, I'm not happy with what it has become. Heavy handed moderation and ban threats make my decision to leave an easy one.

I'm with you, Brother. I'm not a particularly smart guy when it comes to mechanical things. But I've seen a lot of sloppy work from "experts".
