Except for the e-kit and all of those different tom and bass drum sizesSell it all and buy a WTS kit , all problems solved !!!
Just by looking at them I don’t feel in the mood for playingSell it all and buy a WTS kit , all problems solved !!!
Keep the Tama then. Thanks everyone! I play rock, metal, funk, fusion, latin and anything that doesn’t have a name. The reason I’m asking for opinions is that I haven’t got a chance to test all of my kits in multiple scenarios. Mainly because I’ve been trying to save the expensive kits from potential damage. It’s funny how things work. You buy expensive drums and worry about them. You get cheap drums and beat the sh*t out of them and have fun

That was the idea on the birch customs I got. I got them for a little over $1,200 and thought they could take the place of stage customs. Which would cost the same for a new 6 piece after taxes anyway. But thinking those are rare Japanese made drums, I wouldn’t be happy letting other people seat on them and play them like they’re someone else’s b**ch.I play my best kits and don’t worry .
My cheapo kits are top line kits I scored cheap .
You will never catch me buying a Catalina Stage Custom or whatever , But that’s just me . I’m not young and broke ..
This is a drum forum, you know. You can write “birch” without needing to censor yourself. It’s all good.like they’re someone else’s b**ch.

I believe they are the first generation, with no screws on the badges and before they started putting diecast hoops and advantage lugs on them. From what I’ve researched they are all referred to as YBCA.I’d just keep the Tama Bubinga
For the game:
Studio Queens: Tama & SQ2
Beaters: Yamaha Birch Abs and Ludwig CM
Without the aluminum diecast, they are just a birch
I see, I believe those would be dyna hoops then. Otherwise, there have been a lot hoop swapping on this series to sell the hoops, I’ve only played the die cast version and they sound great.I believe they are the first generation, with no screws on the badges and before they started putting diecast hoops and advantage lugs on them. Yes, they’re the dyna-hoops but honestly, they’re just 2.3mm triple flange hoops. Not sure if dyna-hoops are any different. Maybe they smile to them before they hit the button to flange them. Good rationale.Yamaha stage custom bop, natural wood finish
Roland td-17KVX electric kit
Ludwig classic maple downbeat
& Sonor SQ2 silver sparkle (or the Yamaha 9000)
Small, medium, large & an e-kit
